the biodanza session consists of a series of simple experiential moments that take you on a journey using movement, feeling, and music. The most incredibly beautiful music from all over the world is played to inspire and move you. During each session you let go of daily stresses and worries and gently immerse yourself into the fun of being in the moment and being accepted exactly for who you are. It's a fantastic way to meet and connect with people on a real level, and make new friends.

Everyone can do Biodanza, there are no exceptions. You do not have to be physically fit or be a 'dancer'. There is no performance involved and you will not be asked to do anything that you don't feel comfortable with. Everyone is welcome and your participation is important because everyone brings something to the group. Each session is carefully designed to develop specific qualities of movement and new ways to experience yourself. This is done very gently, slowly and with great sensitivity to ensure that the journey feels effortless, natural and fun. The class moves from a vital and active stage into a soft relaxed atmosphere at the end, so there is plenty of opportunity to let go and relax. Just allow yourself to be guided into surrendering to the music.

Many dance methods focus on the individual, but Biodanza takes its focus further to the group dynamic, the group experience. Gradually, through connecting with the fun and energy of a whole new dimension of experience can be explored. Feelings of isolation and loneliness dissolve. You are no longer separate. You are connected with everyone, and you are accepted and loved for just being 'you'.

Scientific Basis

Biodanza has a strong scientific basis. It's informed by psychology, neurology, psycho-biology and a detailed awareness of how the hormonal and neuro-chemical systems respond to, and define, your experiences. Biodanza affects you at the cellular level, it has been shown to strengthen your immune system and reduce stress and anxiety. It improves self-esteem and develops your capacity to make healthy choices. It is a system of self-development that is orientated toward helping you to get what you want from your life.

Global Movement

Biodanza began in South America and is now a rapidly growing global community which you can be a part of. It is enjoyed by thousands of people around the planet, with international Biodanza events happening in most countries.
